July 13 was a pretty exciting social media day in Chicago. A thunderstorm rolled through the city, leaving a stunning double rainbow over the city in its wake. If you follow someone from Chicago on Instagram, I'm sure you gave it a double tap and a heart-eyed emoji. It was pretty spectacular.

While in Charlevoix I ventured over the Depot Beach a couple of times. Like everything else, it was covered in snow but this evening brought blue sky and ideal light to capture frozen Lake Charlevoix and the beach in hibernation.
One of my favorite shots so far, I just had to share it! I took it last night while exploring the ice patterns around the Charlevoix lighthouse at sunset and I feel like this scene really captures the peacefulness up here at the moment.
