Chloe’s First Hike

Here are some more images from our hike in Palos Heights.  Chloe's first hike was a fun one - two naps in the Ergo Baby, fresh air lots of trees and colors to admire. Essie had fun, too, despite the ticks I had to remove from her tummy after the 10 miles.

"Through the Gorge" Tami and I ventured through the gorge at Hell's Gate near Naivasha with our Maasai guide, Hampton.  Volcanic eruptions followed by centuries of flooding, hot springs and a number of other natural happenings have carved out haunting paths through the lower gorge.

"Yellow Wood" Late April means beautiful autumn colors at Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. My friend, Katie, and I experienced everything from blizzards to rain to fog to sunshine on our 5 day hike along the "W" trail.  The colors grew more vibrant each day!
