A second Stanley Cup in only 4 years warrants a little photo-safari, don’t you think? No sooner had the game ended than my neighborhood (I live 2 blocks west of Wrigley field, a Chicago sports mecca, if you will) exploded in celebration. I grabbed my D300 and 35mm/1.8 prime lens and hit the street to capture a bit of the celebration. I stayed away from Clark and Sheffield where the crowd was throwing glass bottles and crowd surfing on barricades (love Chicago!) and captured more of the PG-rated festivities. NBC Chicago just reported over 10,000 people celebrating on the streets of my ‘hood – sure sounds like it!
Well done, Chicago Blackhawks – congratulations!
Maybe. You should be their official photographer. Good pictures Love, Grammie

Since I wasn’t home to capture the festivities for this Stanley Cup win, I am reposting the celebrations from 2013. Congratulations, Blackhawks!
