“Happy Accident”
The past two weeks I’ve been reliving Ayesha and Neil’s wedding weekend as I’ve edited their images. I came across this one that was actually taken by Melissa, my second shooter, at the Friday night Garba. Melissa’s flash didn’t fire but my flash, seen on the right side of the image, fired at exactly the right time, creating this cool effect. I love finding these little gems! Photography is a funny thing… sometimes you can spend forever planning the perfect shot, and other times perfect shots happen by accident. All of the hands in the air along with the feeling of joy and celebration that this image communicates tells a perfect story of the Garba event as a whole. This one took teamwork, without our even knowing it!
