It's always funny to me when people, with no knowledge of the Great Lakes, think of Lake Michigan as a small body of water. It is anything but.

All in, our trip was comprised of 16 wonderful days. 12 of which were spend sailing on Lake Michigan, with a 4 day break on a mooring ball on Round Lake in Charlevoix, MI.

I'm not even going to make an excuse - these photos are long overdue. Honestly, I only took my camera out a handful of times this summer so I didn't feel like I had enough images to warrant a post.
I should have known better. Charlevoix is always post-worthy.

On St. Patrick's Day in Chicago (celebrated the Saturday before March 17) all eyes are on the Chicago River as it is ceremoniously dyed green.

Last Friday, my sister and I took her kids to the Shedd Aquarium for the morning. Images shot on Fujifilm XT-1 with 16mm prime lens.

July 13 was a pretty exciting social media day in Chicago. A thunderstorm rolled through the city, leaving a stunning double rainbow over the city in its wake. If you follow someone from Chicago on Instagram, I'm sure you gave it a double tap and a heart-eyed emoji. It was pretty spectacular.
