It's always funny to me when people, with no knowledge of the Great Lakes, think of Lake Michigan as a small body of water. It is anything but.

All in, our trip was comprised of 16 wonderful days. 12 of which were spend sailing on Lake Michigan, with a 4 day break on a mooring ball on Round Lake in Charlevoix, MI.

I’ve craved the creative outlet and I’ve missed the little community I fostered in this space. I hope you forgive me for leaving so abruptly, and that you’ll accept my return.

Full of creaky floors and plenty of charm, my one bedroom on Oak Avenue felt like home instantly.

On St. Patrick's Day in Chicago (celebrated the Saturday before March 17) all eyes are on the Chicago River as it is ceremoniously dyed green.
