Here’s the first of a new thing I’m trying… Image of the Week! It’s pretty self-explanatory, check back every Friday for a new one!
“The Entrepreneur”
The Lares trek, an alternative to the Inca Trail, Meanders through farm land, herds of llamas and alpacas, across several rivers and to the top of a couple of peaks. Each morning, upon coming out of my tent, I’d find two or three Incan women knitting quietly next to several handmade gloves, hats, socks, scarves and other woolen trinkets. Their goods were displayed upon beautiful blankets and as the trekkers began to pack up camp, these women would gather the corners of their blankets and close up shop. Tying their portable stores to their backs, they’d walk home through the green valley.
Love it, Jenn!
