I feel like taking photos on my iPhone with apps that apply cool effects is almost like cheating. It’s literally point and shoot – no settings, no photography skills needed other than a good sense of composition. Some of my current favorites, all shot with the Retro Camera app for iPhone (it’s free!) which applies a a medium format and vintage look. There are five “cameras” to choose from, each with their own effects.
I realize that most of these are of dogs – both my dog, Essie, and Annie, one of my mom’s dogs. I find them to be very patient and obedient models, especially when they are resting peacefully on a couch.
I’m new to this medium – does anyone have any good photo app suggestions? I feel like there are so many!
