Chichen Itza

At the end of March, I was able to join my family on a fantastic trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. Whoever said that Spring Break ends with college obviously wasn’t a self-employed photographer/adventurer. Most of our days were spent relaxing by the pool, kicking butt in all water sports and looking forward to the next all-inclusive buffet. I was able to convince the other seven to spend a day at Chichen Itza, the amazing Mayan ruin that is highlighted in all of the travel books as well as “1,000 Places to See Before You Die.”

Chichen Itza was amazing, and my only regret is that I didn’t have enough quality time with my camera while there. We had a fantastic tour guide, Raul, but because we were part of a tour we had to leave when the bus left. But still, Chichen Itza was a highlight of the trip and one more thing that I can cross off that list… thanks Dad!
